No one wants their meat tortured to death. That's the difference between eating meat and torturing animals.
When I'm about to make a chicken curry I don't read the label for the description that reads: This chicken was set alight, beaten, had it's legs broken and had it's eyes gouged out.

In the Western world a dog is viewed as a friendly animal which is kept as a pet.
A cow or pig is purely bred to be slaughtered as food.
There is no similarity at all.

You see no similarity between how animals are tortured in the Meat Industry and the torture of a Puppy.
Ones a Cow, ones a Pig, ones a sheep and the other is a Dog.
